Our Name

The name of our sailboat, ‘Tero’, is what defines us. The tero, also known as avefría or alcaraván, is the national bird of Uruguay. It is associated to freedom, as it is a migratory bird that travels long distances with its elegant way of flying. Protective and attentive to its offspring, it is known for its characteristic call, which can be heard in most regions of the country, making it a national symbol.
